1 lb. beef
1/2 lb. ground gentle Italian sausage
1 tiny onion, finely cut
1/2 C. cut bell pepper (I used orange, it had been all I had within the freezer)
1 tsp. olive oil
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. parsley
1 egg, beaten
3/4 C. light bread crumbs
2 slices light bread, crumbled
1 T. milk
8 oz. chopped cheese cheese, reserve 3/4 C. for topping
1/4 C. cheese cheese
1 C. pasta sauce sauce, and 1/2 -3/4 C. additional for topping
In a tiny cooking pan, heat the vegetable oil over master's degree. high heat and sauté the onion and bell pepper for 3-4 minutes, take away from heat. during a giant bowl, add the meats, onion and peppers at the side of all remaining ingredients reserving 3/4 C. cheese cheese for topping. Now, dive in there with the simplest tools God gave you, your hands and mix everything specific. Once it's all close, place and mould the mixture during a baking dish of your alternative. I used my oval Portuguese ceramic ware for ours. Spoon 1/2 to 3/4 C. of the pasta sauce sauce on prime and unfold around. Place during a four hundred degree kitchen appliance for fifty minutes. take away from the kitchen appliance and prime with the remaining cheese and sprinkle somewhat dry basil over the highest. come back to the kitchen appliance for ten additional minutes. confirm the meat isn't pink before serving, baking time can vary looking on the thickness of your loaf. Mine was regarding 2" thick.
